Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce and GWCOC Foundation Events

All throughout the year, the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce works to host events for the betterment of our community and its membership. Whether it is family fun or a financial forecast, GWCOC has something to offer that will fit your business' needs.

Community Events

Wildwoods Wedding Expo: South Jersey’s largest FREE bridal event features everything you need to plan your perfect wedding! Wedding venues, wedding planners, photographers, videographers, caterers, bakeries, florists, salons and spas, wedding announcements, transportation companies, DJs, musical entertainment, bridal fashions and more. Held at the Wildwoods Convention Center. Brides and Grooms can participate in fun contests to win free door prizes and also have the chance to win a romantic getaway!

 

Wildwoods’ Food & Music Festival: A food and music street fair featuring a full day of fantastic food options, music, shopping and more. The festival will take place in Downtown Wildwood starting at Byrne Plaza along Pacific Avenue between Oak and Schellenger Avenues in Wildwood. The festival will include live music, delicious food, messy pie-eating contests, craft vendors and much more. The festival will provide fun for the kids with a “Kids Korner,”. The festival is FREE to attend.

 

Fabulous ‘50s & Beyond Weekend: A weekend celebration of music. Friday night features a ’50s Dance Party at the Wildwoods Convention Center from 6:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. A FREE street-fair will take place on Saturday from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. featuring classic cars, food and craft vendors, a Doo Wop Bus Tour, and live entertainment. Saturday night’s concert in the Wildwoods Convention Center begins at 7 p.m. (doors open at 5:30 p.m.) featuring music from the 1950’s, 1960’s and the 1970’s

 

Wildwoods Holiday Shopping Village: The Annual Wildwoods Holiday Shopping Village in Downtown Wildwood. A completely outdoor shopping experience. Experience Small Business Saturday like ever before. Local small business vendors will be on hand for you to purchase the perfect holiday gift! Local Artisans, Jewelry, Specialty Shops, Handcrafted Items, Holiday Decorations, Baked Goods, Boutique Shops, Gifts, Gift Cards for Wildwoods Restaurants & Activities, Holiday Entertainment & Music, Raffle & More. This event will also serve as a gift drop location for The Lynch Who Stole Christmas from The GrYnch Program.

Marketing & Networking

Annual Installation Dinner: The Annual Business Meeting and Installation Dinner is held each September. Provides the perfect opportunity to network and celebrate other businesses. Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce will present the Annual Installation Dinner Awards.

 

Monthly Membership Luncheons: Presented on the second Wednesday of each month from October to May. Guest speakers are invited to discuss relevant business topics and/or provide updates on excited opportunities for our visitors and businesses. Some of the most popular luncheons are: The Yearly Financial Forecast presented by Crest Savings Bank, The Annual Mayoral Address featuring the mayors from the four Wildwoods’, Public Safety Update for the Wildwoods presented by the local first responders and the State of the County Address presented by the Cape May County Tourism Department.

 

Quarterly Networking “After Hours” Mixers: A fabulous opportunity to get to know business partners from our community in a relax and fun environment.

 

Spring Job Fair at Wildwood High School: Looking for a few great employees. The Job Fair at Wildwood High School is the perfect place to find that local student who is looking for a job in the community.

Educational & Informational

Certified Pool/Spa Operator Course (CPO): Class is held each Spring at the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce office in Downtown Wildwood. Provides State certification for pool operators.

 

CPR/First Aid: A class is held each Spring at the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce office in Downtown Wildwood. Class will cover Basic CPR and First Aid certifications requirements.

 

ESL Classes: Classes is held throughout the year in partnership with Cape May County Vi-Tech High School at the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce office in Downtown Wildwood.

 

Online Lunch & Learn Series: Can’t make it out of the office? We have you covered. Relevant business topics will be presented by professionals.

 

Small Business Development Seminars: SBA and Business Development Professionals will discuss new grants and opportunities available for small businesses.

Fundraising Events

Drag Queen Bingo and Show: Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce Foundation hosts fun and exciting fundraising events throughout the year. One of our most popular is the Drag Queen Events.

 

New York City Bus Trip: NYC during the Holidays. Take a scheduled bus trip with other locals to NYC to see a Broadway Show and enjoy the city during the holiday season.

 

Restaurant Showcase: Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce Foundation hosts this delicious event. Dozens of local restaurant and eateries showcase house specialties and provide a sample size for people to enjoy. The Foundation will present over $10,000 in scholarship funds to island students starting college.
